Looking for an apt share or a studio/1 br w/my dog

Hi,
I am a bartender / former journalist / former music business professional, looking for a large room with windows to move in with my sweet 50 pound pup.
Preferably I am looking for one mature, quiet and very clean roommate in a quiet building. But I can live with two people as well.

I would prefer it if there are already people living in the apartment. I am not looking to sign a new lease.. I could sign a roommates agreement if you would like.
I would like the apartment to be a shared space that feels like home so an additional shared, clean and homely living room, a super clean kitchen and shared or private bathroom are must haves.
I could also rent a studio or a one bedroom by myself and in that case my budget is up to $1500. But although I earn more than enough, i have only “fair” credit so I’m not sure if living by myself is an option for me at the moment. I would prefer to pay about $1200 if it’s just a room in a shared apartment. Thank you.
