Laid back young professional female

I'm a young professional working for a publishing company in TriBeCa. Currently I have a ridiculous commute and am looking to move closer to work. I'm not particular about neighborhood as long as it's safe and close-ish to a subway station. Do have a preference for Astoria although will not say no to the right place in another borough. I'm friendly and sociable though definitely not a party animal and happy to do my own thing. Looking for a relatively clean place with nice people.
