In Need of a Room! :-)

I am a 27 year old single female strategically planning the move to NYC to further my acting career. I will be arriving right after Christmas without any furniture, just my clothing and the small things that mean a lot to me. My first week in NYC will be spent at my friend's place in Sheepshead Bay while I look around to find my own apartment and interview with roommates! I am currently most interested in living in Astoria or Brooklyn.

My budget is $500/month, would prefer that utilities be included if at all possible. A private room would certainly be nice! Shared bathroom and living space is fine by me. In the right situation, I would sign a long term lease.

I have money saved and plan to work various jobs. I am an experienced film/theater/TV actress. I also dabble in writing and live on-air modeling. I am originally from New Jersey. I'm a non-smoker and don't mind pets! I practice yoga nidra and laughter yoga. I also try to read as much as possible and love to watch independent films and documentaries. I clean up after myself. I never smoke, I drink occasionally in a social setting.
