Looking For Room To Rent

Hello! I need to move into a room by July 3rd. I'm looking for a room to rent for 6 months to a year. Maybe longer if it's available. I'm a 49-year-old male. I work full time but have some time off, so I can relocate.
I'm looking for a room in either: San Francisco/Oakland/Emeryville/A lameda/Berkeley/El Cerrito.
I'm sober, smoking occasionally outside, and have a small chihuahua. I'm willing to pay up to $500-$600 a month. I'm very clean, quiet, and spend my free time with my dog.
I'm looking for a quiet place to rest, shower, and be alone at when I'm not at work.
I generally keep to myself and in my free time I am building up my own business.
It's been difficult finding a room and I'm not even sure if Craigslist still works with finding a place to live but I thought I'd try and post a want ad. As well as try my luck here.
I'm very clean, quiet, sweet, healthy, earth-friendly, and sober. Even though I am sober I don't mind if my roommates drink or smoke. I am looking for a long-term housing situation with good people who also have busy lives.
