Couples need a room while real estate shopping

Hi, we are Phil and Sara. We have been apart for many years, and it's finally time to come home. But I live in Idaho, so we need a place in the Bay Area to call home while we check out the local real estate. I am on disability, and have a small service dog and Phil is a mechanic. We are looking for a large room to rent for around six months or so? We I looking for a more laid-back situation, hopefully friendly. The rest of the accommodations are not really important oh, just looking for a situation that vibes.
