Professional seeking room sublet and fresh start

My name is Samantha, I'm a 29 year-old architectural professional and local New Yorker. I'm looking for a place to stay for the month of May (or more) while I adjust to a new job (I was previously unemployed due to COVID-19) before finally settling down into a new place of my own (which I have yet to find). I'm looking to go apartment hunting in Brooklyn and/or Queens, and want to be in an area that makes it easy to do so.

As a roommate, I'm respectful of other people's space, neat, and regularly clean up after myself. I also value open communication and enjoy a relaxed living environment. My hobbies include cooking, crochet, studying (I'm going for my architecture licensure), hiking, and going for nature walks in the park. I cook dinner regularly, and have simple breakfasts and lunches. I appreciate my alone time but also enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I have good credit, and good savings and can be counted on to pay rent on time. That being said, I've had many roommates throughout the years, and I currently prefer to live with just one other roommate at this time just to keep it simple.
