Retired professional seeks writing retreat space

Looking for a safe, clean and quiet space to live, to research and to write--Oakland, Alameda, San Leandro, Berkeley areas. Need a bedroom preferably with private bath in small house or a small studio space. The fewer stairs the better--challenged knees after all that running, hiking and swing dancing I did! I am returning to the Bay Area after 15 years in Tucson. Never smoked. 36 years clean and sober in 12-step programs. Fully vaxed. Retired high school and college English instructor who likes order (but not OCD) and peace. I am a tidy and respectful housemate. Prefer to rent month to month. I have my own vehicle and have a social life with dear friends in the area. Happy to share space, chores, good conversation.
