Semi-retired vet

I'm looking for a room to rent while I work toward getting my own place so I'm looking for a month to month. My kid will be visiting occasionally. We are both respectful and vigilant about cleanliness, safety, fairness, common courtesy, and compromise. A fair amount of space in the kitchen area, private bathroom and washer/dryer use is preferred. For peace of mind, I request the bedroom doorknob be replaced with my own during our stay. I'm willing to help around the house in lieu of rent reduction. Background check available.

About you:
You, too, are respectful, have common sense and common courtesy. (E. g. You clean up after yourself (and your children/pets/guests/etc), you're not obnoxiously loud, you are trustworthy, there's no drama, home safety is important, etc). You have good communication skills and willing to compromise. Smoking/vaping of any kind is done outside, please.
