American Australian and her soulful dog

I recently returned from living in rural Australia where I have a home and property. My plan is to start splitting my time between Australia and NYC, ideally 7-8 months here and 4-5 months there. Because I’m a born and raised New Yorker, most of my family is here and I’m at a point in life where I want to be able to see them more.
After training with Marci Shimoff of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” fame, I’m in the process of starting my own business as a happiness trainer. I’ll also be looking for part-time work as I get the business off the ground but I’m very financially secure and am happy to discuss that further with a potential right roommate.
I have a dear dog who I say is charismatic because people are always drawn to her. Daisy is an English Pointer cross of some kind (maybe some greyhound?). She’s a sweet, gentle and quiet soul who rarely barks.
Because I’ve decided I’d like to live in NY and because I’d also like to have more space for Daisy and me, a 2BR is pretty necessary from a budget perspective. And as I’ll also be gone for at least three months a year, it makes no sense for me to pay the higher rent it would require to have my own place.
As it’s been a long time since I’ve lived with anyone, my ideal roommate is someone who is not around 24/7. Maybe a student or doctor, etc? Having said that, I’d love it if we shared the occasional meal and social outings if we’re so inclined. After not having lived in the USA for most of the last 10 years, it would be an added bonus if my roommate turned out to be a friend as well.
***Please Note that a lot of the things listed as “Amenities required” like a furnished room and balcony are really preferred extras for me and not at all mandatory. The one thing on the list I’d really love is my own bathroom.
