Chill professional looking for room/mates

Hello, I’m Justin, a 33-year-old software programmer. I grew up around Gainesville, FL, and have a BS in poli sci from University of Florida (go gators!). I’ve been in New York the last five years and am interested in moving somewhere in Brooklyn (preferably) or Manhattan/Queens, with good train access. I have one very well-behaved cat, love animals generally. I’m very laid back, quiet, but like meeting new people/going out as well. Would be open to to roommate friendships but also can mind my own business. I game, read, love music, hike, meditate. I keep tidy, especially in common areas (but not particularly judgmental - just don’t be a total slob please haha). I think a stay of at least around a year would be ideal, but I’ll be in the city for the foreseeable future.

I do want to be transparent and mention that I'm currently between jobs, but please don't let that be a concern. I have a strong track record in my field (typically earning over 100K annually), several promising interviews lined up, and sufficient savings to cover rent without any issues. I'm very confident in my ability to secure employment soon, given my skills and experience.
