Londoner in NYC - September move

Hi, my name is Rushab and I am a 27 year old strategy consultant from London. I moved to New York in January for work and will be here for the next few years. I'm looking for a 1 bed/ 1 bath flat or a 2 to 3 bedroom shared flat living situation. I am currently based in Seaport and planning on moving mid-to-late September so am flexible about the living situation and I'm also very happy to do buddy-ups if convenient.

I am looking for a double room (furnished if rental is shorter than 6 months) with laundry (washer/dryer) either in building or in-unit. Happy to share a bathroom. I work in flatiron so would ideally be commutable there. Also my ideal max budget for rent + utilities is $2.9k but can go higher if the place/ commute works out well.

A bit about me as a tenant/ roommate. I have been a renter in NYC and London over the past 3 years with friends and colleagues. I am both sociable and respectful, and as a roommate I am clean and tidy - I always do my dishes, take out the bins, and avoid leaving clutter in communal spaces. I like playing sports and being active, so if you want someone to play tennis with, go hiking, the gym or anything outdoorsy - I am always very keen.

During the week, I will work exclusively at the office (located in the flat iron district) and tend to work relatively long hours so will mainly be at the flat late in the evenings and on the weekends.

For about a year now (2022 & 2024) I lived and worked in New York and have been travelling around the US, so I have gotten to know and really love a lot of places, people, and cultures and so I am hoping to continue those good vibes going forward.
