Room wanted in Boston

I am a 27 year old man who has been living in Boston for close to a year. I am starting a new job with the city in July. I am looking for a room in an apartment with a lease of at least 12 months that I can move into by September 1st, or a little sooner. I do not own a car, so I will need access to public transit. I currently live in Brighton-Allston and like the area, but am also open to listings in Roxbury and Dorchester.
I am a respectful, quiet, and friendly roommate, as well as a good communicator. I like reading, movies, games, and cooking. I don’t have any pets, but enjoy living with dogs and/or cats. My budget is flexible, but I would like to rent for $1500 dollars or less. I do not need the room to be furnished.
