Room wanted in New York

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmin, I am 29 years old and I am musicologist and theater scholar. I am looking for a furnished room in NYC from September 8, 2024, to May 31, 2025. My budget is $2,000 max but ideally lower.

I'm originally from Germany but I am living and working in Switzerland. In my free time, I like to go to concerts, theater performances, and museums. I like to travel, cook new dishes, doing sports (especially Zumba, the gym, or hiking trips in Switzerland) and to have good conversations.

I am working at the university in Bern and as a music critic for a radio station and a newspaper. I am a PhD candidate in musicology and I will be in New York as a Research Affiliate at the Department of Music at NYU.

Here in Bern, I am also living with two roommates which I enjoy very much. I'm a pretty social and outgoing person, but I also need my alone time. I'm down to get to know each other while sharing a meal together or cooking together. I keep common living spaces and my room clean. I am organized, respectful, and reliable. I'm open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized. I'm not a smoker and don’t have pets.
