Bedroom Available in Cute and Friendly Townhouse

Hi! I have a back bedroom (second to last image) opening up in my 2 br/1.5 ba townhouse in central Berkeley. The room will be available June 1st. As you can see from the photos, the townhouse and the larger property have a lot of charm and character. It’s located off of MLK, has parking available on the property for a small monthly fee (and ample free and safe street parking, too, as well as laundry for $20 a month. All utilites are paid by the tenants. The apartment is partially furnished once my current roommate moves out. Would love to have you add your own touch to the place, too!

The neighborhood is very safe and relatively close to the Ashby and downtown areas of Berkeley. The neighbors themselves are super friendly, and sometimes put on outdoor movie nights on Fridays. It’s a good community.

You will be living with a mid-30s woman who works mostly nights at a popular Oakland restaurant. I would describe myself as an extrovert who values community and friendship, but my alone time, as well. I’d prefer to live with someone with a similar disposition. I’m interested in current events, lefty/liberal politics, modern art, indie and Motown, and craft beer and cocktails. Please be a considerate and clean— but not clean freak— roommate. Open to different ages, races, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Just please be a cool human. (You will also have to pass a credit check, and have verifiable income and/or savings.)
