I am looking for a roommate to join me and my two cats in my gorgeous and huge 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house on the Oakland/Berkeley border. The room is $1500 plus utilities (EBMUD, PGE, Comcast)
The home:
An AMAZING location between Shattuck and Telegraph, just a 12 minute walk from Ashby Bart. The house is 1,233 square feet and has:
living room
dining room
kitchen with lots of counter space and dishwasher
back room with washer/dryer
free basement storage
full bathroom with stand up shower and bathtub
half bath
3 hallway closets
ample street parking or paid off street parking
I have been living here for 3 years so the house is mostly furnished, but you would be more than welcome to bring anything you have!
The room:
The smaller (and therefore less expensive) room is still quite large at 13ftx11ft. It has a closet with shelves and hanger space, windows along the wall, and plenty of room for your furniture.
A bit about me:
I'm a 28 year old preschool teacher and I've lived in Oakland for about 7 years. I like to keep a tidy house but I'm very relaxed. My ideal roommate is a woman in her 20's-30's who is responsible, fun, kind, and mindful. I'm at work from 8-4 and love to relax when I come home. I can frequently be found watching Netflix, listening to records, reading in a park or coffee shop, or exploring the surrounding neighborhoods.
I have two cats and they've got big personalities, so unfortunately I can't have any more pets. ?
