One bedroom in spacious Victorian!

Available in early March is a large one bedroom in a three-bedroom Victorian located in West Oakland. The bedroom for rent has a closet, upper storage cubby, laminate wood floors, and a window facing front. We are a 12-minute walk or 5-minute bike ride to West Oakland BART. Nearby buses are the 14 and 29. This location is very convenient to San Francisco FiDi, downtown Oakland, and Emeryville.

You?ll be living with...
A: Female in her early 40s. Social introvert and film nerd who has her geek-out moments about all kinds of silly random things. Likes swing dancing, gardening, listening to records, cooking, board games, classic cinema, vintage clothing, hiking, biking, and sewing/millinery.

J: Female in her late 20s and a self-proclaimed nerd. Works in hospitality. She enjoys playing board games and going to concerts in her free time. At home, she enjoys baking, arts and crafts, watching tv, and the occasional video game.

We host the occasional board game or movie night. We are not big partiers, but enjoy low-key socializing and activities. No drug-users or smokers.

You: Male or female of any age. Occasional goofball and clean-freak. You love West Oakland as much as we do! You are able to communicate effectively and respectfully and are game to share household responsibilities and chores on a regular basis.

Shared amenities:
The house has been updated with modern hardware and appliances including a a dishwasher, and eco-friendly washer and dryer in-unit, and central heat. There is a lot of natural light including a garden window in the kitchen. We have a large deck with access to the backyard (shared with downstairs tenants). You'll be sharing the front living room and master bath with J. (The other roommate has her own bathroom and smaller living area in the back of the unit.) There is plenty of street parking.

Monthly rent is $1250 (with a signed one-year lease) plus garbage, internet, water, PG&E, and shared household supplies. The landlord will need to conduct credit and background checks, and ask for a previous rental reference.
