The room itself is a medium size, measuring in 129.25 sq ft (11'x11' 9"). You can easily fit a queen or king size bed, and still have room for other furniture. There's in-built display shelves that flank the main window, with a small-to-medium size closet that has enough space for a small wardrobe selection and storage. The room sits at the end of the main hallway, and is positioned right next to the guest bathroom. The distance is enough to keep most conversations unheard in the common area and other bedrooms, and with all doors in the house closed, sound can be reduced even more so. I have two dogs, a Shiba Inu and a German Shepherd, both of which are people friendly. During the day, they have freedom of movement around the living room to utilize the doggy door, and during the night they bunker down in my room and roam the common area.
