DETAIL:

The commute is way faster than anyone could imagine when they think of the Bronx. It's 20 minutes to Midtown. The best part about this place might just be this train access. We're where the 2 and 5 EXPRESS TRAINS meet, so we have both EAST SIDE and WEST SIDE MANHATTAN ACCESS. It's a short walk home from the train station along pedestrian-packed 3rd Ave, or along the quieter Melrose Ave if you'd like to avoid the crowd.

We have an open kitchen attached to our spacious living room, which makes for a ton of room to chill in, though truth be told it's rarely used since we're out of the apartment so often. The bed pictured here is a queen, so that should really speak to the size of the room. The full length mirrored closet doors open up to a very large closet!

We're each pretty quiet, and spend a lot of time either out of the house or in our rooms. We have three elderly cats who spend pretty much the whole day on one particular couch in the living room.

This is a fast-growing artist community. Several of our neighbors are photographers and artists. A big reason for this is that just a few blocks away is the Bronx Documentary Center, an international gallery specializing in documentary film and photography. The blossoming neighborhoods of Mott Haven and Port Morris are full of new bars and restaurants like the Bronx Tavern (which has really good sancocho) and Empanology, to name a couple.

In the immediate area you'll find an Aldi, which is now ranked #2 nationwide to Whole Foods in organic foods, and a ton cheaper! We do have access to laundry in one of our neighboring buildings, but I never use it as I prefer the laundromat two blocks away with 80 cents per pound drop-off service. There's a Crunch, Planet Fitness, and Blink each a few blocks away. And my favorite place to get late night food, this awesome $2 taco place that's open until 4am.

Your friends all wish they were cool enough to move to the Bronx right before everyone realizes how cool it is. Be cooler than your friends. Come check out BX.

Tell us a little something about yourself and what you're looking for in an email. Let us know a good day/time this week you could be available to see the room.
