Oct 1/Sept 15 $950 room in BX w/ washer/dryer

1 room for rent starting October 1st (potentially available Sept 15). The apartment is an awesome newly renovated 2 bedroom/1 bath including a washer and dryer! I?ve been living here since July 2017 (once it was renovated with all new appliances). The shared living spaces are completely furnished. It?s on the 6th floor (top floor) with an elevator. It?s 1 block from the 4 train and 5 from the D train on Fordham road. We?re also 1 block from the Select 12 Bus that goes straight to Manhattan to the 207 1 and A train stops in about 15 minutes. We are a block from Monroe and close to Lehman and Bronx Community College as well as Fordham University. If you?ve never been to this area, Fordham has a ton of gym options, parks, and shopping including grocery stores (there?s one on our corner). I personally love our neighborhood. I wouldn?t say that it is super quiet, but it is safe and active.

I am friendly and interactive, but also more on the quiet/independent side. I do enjoy watching Netflix with some wine or ice cream or hosting some friends. I would prefer another female in her 20s-30s. I am a youth worker in this neighborhood and often host youth events or activities (however this is very minimal during the current pandemic). If this will annoy you, this won't be a good fit. I do not have any pets, but I do dog-sit or foster puppies every once in a while.

The room for rent is the largest of the rooms. It is not furnished, but it is possible that some furniture may be left behind which you would be welcome to use if desired. A one year minimum commitment is preferred, but I am open to a shorter timeline. I would not need you to sign the lease, but would ask that you sign a sublease agreement as well as pay a refundable $100 security deposit, to be returned upon vacating the apartment. Rent is $950 per month which includes all utilities. I just ask that, if you use an AC, you contribute an additional $25 in the summer months to help compensate for the higher ConEd bill.
