2BR/1.5BA + office + private roof deck + balcony

Hi! I'm looking for someone to join my Bed-Stuy 2-story, 2-bed, 1.5-bath (+ Office) penthouse with a *giant private roof deck* and an additional large balcony. Brand new building! Our bedrooms are on different floors, and we each have our own bathroom. There is an additional room for use as a shared office. 1,100 interior sqft + 610 sqft of private outdoor spaces. Only one other apartment in the building on lower floors :) Dishwasher & in-unit full-size washer & dryer!!

Your bedroom and mine are equally sized. The apartment--save for your bedroom--is mostly furnished with my belongings, but I would love to incorporate yours, too, as we see fit.

---First Floor---
• Kitchen: *dishwasher*, full-size oven & cooktop, generous island with pull-out table, plenty of built-in storage. I also have an extendable table with four chairs, and a microwave, toaster oven, blender, food processor. I love to cook and hope you do, too!
• Balcony: overlooks tree-filled courtyard with room for plants, a grill, café table & chairs.
• Living room: I have a couch + ottoman but there’s room for a coffee table and chair, too. TV, speakers, built-in shelving and room for more art on walls!
• Your bedroom: south-facing, gets tons of light, built-in wardrobe and drawers, can fit a queen bed with additional dresser or desk.
• Full bathroom w/ window & soaking tub.
• Office: It's bright and sunny, with space for an additional desk and chair. I currently have a keyboard piano in there too (I use headphones) but happy to move it.

---Second Floor---
• My bedroom & 1/2 bath
• Private roof deck: only accessible to our unit via a dedicated door at top of the stairs. Has a projector screen, large dining table, bench, chairs, umbrella, huge sectional couch, tons of plants (I inherited them from prior tenants...pls help lol), outdoor speakers, string lights. Great for entertaining!

• Utilities: internet is $26.75ea
Haven't received 1st electric bill yet but expect that it won't be crazy because everything is brand-new and very efficient. Landlord is prompt and easy to deal with.
• Applicant qualifications: 700+ credit score, good rental history & LL references, credit check & income verification required. Likely will not need a guarantor.
• Broker fee: I had to pay a broker fee to secure the apartment. I'm flexible but would like you to contribute.
• Lease terms: lease goes till 8/31/2022. You will be on the lease with me and your security deposit is $2,300.

---About the neighborhood---
I'm new here but am loving this location on the border of BedStuy & Clinton Hill and look forward to exploring it with you. Our neighbors in the building are so kind and friendly! Prime location two blocks to CitiBike station, close to A, C, & G trains (closet stops: Franklin Ave & Nostrand Ave [A, C, S]; Classon Ave & Bedford-Nostrand Aves [G - two blocks away]). Close to several good grocery stores, health-food bodegas, wine shops, cute coffee shops, BedStuy YMCA. Lots of good restaurants and bars (Come on Everybody, Do or Dive, Dynaco...) along Bedford & Franklin; two blocks to Clinton Hill. Straight shot to Fort Greene Park and not far from Prospect Park! Plenty of bike lanes and people running, getting coffee, or going out. Feels lively but also very safe.

I just moved to NYC from Detroit for a new job in green tech, and am looking to find a roommate to join my 1yr lease on a great 2BR/1.5ba + Office apartment with *giant private outdoor spaces* in BedStuy, Brooklyn. Move-in date flexible, but ideally by October 1. Me: Outgoing, outdoorsy, big runner, singer, bad pianist, adventurous chef, gay, vaxxed. Love yoga; recently into climbing.
