The apartment is a huge Gowanus duplex and was brand-new when the current roommates moved in two years ago. Marble countertops in the kitchen, a large living-dining room, exposed brick in the bedrooms, a big backyard/garden (+ grill), washer/dryer and dishwasher in unit, customizable HVAC AC/heat in all rooms, and a basement storage area for luggage. The house gets tons of sunlight and the common spaces look out onto our backyard.

Because the room is in the basement, it's naturally cool in the summer months and affords the person renting it a ton of privacy.
