Description
We are looking for one roommate to take over a bedroom in our 4 bedroom Park Slope apartment. The room is available starting March 1st.
THE APARTMENT
- Third Street between 6th and 7th Avenue (Brownstone lined street)
- Washer & Dryer in apartment
- Dishwasher in apartment
- Spacious and charming, hardwood floors and high 12ft ceilings
- Two full bathrooms, great water pressure, claw foot bathtub
- Large eat-in kitchen with lots of cabinet space and a big living room with bay windows (also, lots of plants!)
- We have a cleaning person who comes once every three weeks
- Third floor walk-up
- Two and a half blocks to Prospect Park.
- Right in the center of lots of train options - less than a ten-minute walk to the F, G and R trains. The 2, 3, B, and Q are about a 12 minute walk.
THE ROOM
- The largest one in the apartment! 10'x13' with two large windows and a big built in closet. The room does not come furnished. There is one wall that is painted a dark purple color. That can be painted over white before you move in if you don't like the color.
THE FINE FOLKS YOU WILL BE LIVING WITH
The three other roommates are all young professionals in their mid 20s/early 30s, two girls and one guy who work 9-6ish hours. One works for a music agency, one works at a small graduate art school, and one works for the Department of Justice.
Everyone is clean and respectful and often has their own things going on. That said, we're looking for someone who is friendly and comfortable with splitting a bottle of wine and making conversation/relaxing in good company. We are all non-smokers and unfortunately, you cannot have a pet in the apartment, so no cats or dogs.
DETAILS
- Move in is March 1
- $1425/month plus utilities which typically run about $75 (Internet, electric, gas, and a cleaning person that comes every three weeks)
- One month security deposit and first month's rent to move in (total of $2850).
- We just resigned the lease starting Jan 1, which is up for renewal on December 31, 2016.
- You would be signing a sublease with two of the girls who are the primary lease holders; we are asking for someone to at least stay 6 months if not for the whole year.
