Spacious room, 2 blocks from Prospect Park

Spacious bedroom available in a large 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in Prospect Lefferts Garden. The building features an elevator and live-in super. Located just two blocks from Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the neighborhood also features many restaurants and a large and reasonably priced grocery store less than a block away.

The apartment is less than a block away from the B and Q train and the Franklin Avenue Shuttle (S train). Other train lines (2, 3, 4, 5, D, N, R, W, LIRR) can easily be accessed by transferring at the Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center station.

I'm leaving NYC to attend graduate school so am looking for someone to live with my roommate (female, early 20s) for the remainder of our lease (August 1-March 31, move in date slightly flexible). Alternatively, there may be the option to sign a one year August 1-July 31 lease and the landlord is open to month to month arrangements to extend the lease.

Must be able to apply and be approved with the building (guarantors welcome) - credit check, 40x the rent, background check.

My roommate has a very shy, mellow cat. No dogs, but cats will be considered.
