About the room:

First floor:
The first floor measures 15 by 12 feet plus a closet and a private balcony overlooking the backyard. There’s plenty of space to put a queen size bed, dresser, and table. The room faces south and gets lots of light throughout the day due to the sliding door and huge window. If you want to put your home office in the living room, that’s available, too.

About the apartment:
The apartment is an incredible duplex on the first floor and garden level on Clifton between Franklin and Classon in Clinton Hill. It has a large backyard, balcony, high ceilings, in-unit washer and dryer, lots of closets, a dishwasher, and central heat and cooling. The apartment has a full bathroom on the first floor and a half bathroom on the garden level.

The first floor has a large living room with plenty of sun, a fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, a full bathroom, coat closet with top storage, laundry room, and master bedroom with a private balcony. The garden level floor has storage under the stairs, a walk in storage closet, a half bathroom, a bedroom with access to the backyard, a large office, and extra storage closet space.

The backyard comes with a table, some chairs, a BBQ pit, and some astroturf. There’s so much space to do an elevated box gardening or more. I have some basics for the kitchen (plates, utensils, etc), and a dining table with 4 chairs.

I have a two year lease at an incredible COVID deal and saved $1,000 off the original market price.

Utilities not included. We would split those 50/50.

About the neighborhood:
The apartment is in Clinton Hill on the border of Bedstuy. It’s one block from the Classon G train and a 12 minute walk to the Franklin C train. It’s surrounded by great cafes, restaurants, bars, and things to do within a short walking distance. Herbert Von King is a 13 minute walk, and less than 20 minutes from Fort Greene Park.

About me:
Hi! I’m Cris (he/him). I’m a 32 year old cis, gay Latinx man. I was raised in Miami and have lived in NYC for 6 years. I deeply value empathy, communication, kindness, and inclusion. I’m funny sometimes. A terrible singer usually. A good listener always. I work on myself psychologically, emotionally, physically, skillfully, and intellectually.

I work from home now and for the long foreseeable future. That means I’m at my computer most of the day running meetings. I shower every morning around 8am and I cook occasionally. I’m usually done with work by 7 and I wind down with some TV, a book, a walk, a podcast, yoga. I’m clean, but not excessive about it. I run the dishwasher every night so no dishes overnight. I keep the bathroom clean and vacuum weekly.

I follow COVID precautions everywhere I go: double mask, handwashing, social distancing. I haven’t been vaccinated yet but intend to once I’m eligible. I see friends outside on weekends regularly and on a few occasions inside.

About you:

Hello! I’m looking for someone to share this 2 year lease. I’ve moved around a lot and lived with many people, so I can live with almost anyone. But I get along best with people who communicate well about any issues that may arise proactively. Ideally looking for someone I can get along with and be friendly with. I sometimes need my own space to decompress, but please understand that’s not about you.

Please have your first month and one month security deposit available at time of signing the lease. The management company might require proof of income or credit. Please no dogs unless they’re hypoallergenic. Would be great if you’re down to redecorate and make the place feel different.
