Large Room in 3BR Cobble Hill, Private Bath

Hi! We’re looking for a new roommate for our 3 bedroom - 2 bathroom apartment in Cobble Hill. I’ve lived in this apartment for the past 3 years, and have really loved it.

The room is the master, with an AC unit, a large closet and private bath. The room itself is 9 ft x 14 ft, the closet is an additional 3 ft x 4 ft, and the private bathroom is roughly 5 ft x 6 ft. It has enough space for a queen bed and a home office for working from home. The room is in the back of the apartment facing the building's garden and is very quiet and sunny, with two large windows. The rent is $1500/month, plus utilities, which are usually $50-75/month. The room is available furnished or unfurnished.

The room is available after January 15. We’re looking for a long-term roommate, ideally someone who would want to re-sign the lease with us when it’s up on May 31.

You'd be moving in with me and my roommate, Hayden. I’m 29 and work as an editor; Hayden is 25 and works in account-side advertising. We’re both working from home until further notice because of, y'know, the pandemic. We're looking for someone friendly and chill, with good energy, who's respectful and reliable -- and who takes COVID-19 seriously (no guests at the apartment for now), practices social distancing, wears masks outdoors, has good hygiene practices, etc. LGBT+ and BIPOC friendly, of course!

We’ve lived here for 3 years and genuinely love it. I still feel lucky that we found this place. But for efficiency’s sake, here are some things to know that could be deal breakers for you: There’s no outdoor space/roof access or laundry in the building (though we’re right above a wash and fold); it’s a 4th floor walk-up; and we have a no-drugs-at-home rule.

A bit on the neighborhood: It's a really nice area, with a lot of locally-owned businesses, and conveniences including several laundromats, pharmacies, and grocery stores (including Trader Joe's) within walking distance. Brooklyn Bridge Park is a 25-minute walk away, and smaller parks (Cobble Hill Park and Carroll Park) are close by. The Bergen FG stop is an 8 minute walk, and the 2, 3, 4, 5, and R are about a 15 min walk away.
