Room in north Crown Heights apartment

We're a 7 min walk to the Kingston-Throop C train and it's just a bit further to the Nostrand A/C train. All the restaurants, bars and coffee shops on Franklin are just a short walk away, as is beautiful Eastern Parkway and Prospect Park.

The apartment is a large recently renovated 4 bedroom with two full baths, all off of one comically long hallway. The building has a washer and dryer in the basement, and we have access to a garden with a picnic table and grill out back. We have central air conditioning and heating. All the rooms are pretty large with decent sunlight. The available room is pretty large, especially by NYC standards (13x11) and at the moment comfortably fits a queen sized bed, desk, dresser, bookshelf and loveseat. It has a very generous closet as well.

The living room was converted into a bedroom, so we tend to congregate in the kitchen. That said, it's clearly not conducive to bringing people over all the time, so this is not a party spot. But there's no need since Franklin Ave. is just a short walk away as are lots of bars and restaurants just north in Bed-Stuy. It's also not a great place for a constant cycle of overnight guests, so if you like to have out of town visitors, this probably isn't the best spot.

There are two resident cats whom I care for. Unfortunately, we'll have reached our pet quota so we can't take on more, but the kitties do not discriminate with their snuggles :)

We are 3 women, ages 26-30, from Wyoming, Kentucky and upstate NY. I work from home as a freelance writer and NGO consultant. The other two women are school teachers here in BK. We keep things fairly quiet and low key at home, but we're still very sociable and sometimes cook dinner together or chat in the kitchen over coffee.

Looking for ladies who are friendly, responsible, considerate and clean. Though we're not obsessive about cleanliness, with four people everyone has to do their part and take the initiative to keep things liveable. We don't want to live with people who need someone to nag them to clean up after themselves. If you're tidy, friendly, and pay your rent on time then I bet we'll be good :)

It's a month to month sublease with all utilities and shared sundries (cleaning supplies, basic cooking stuff like oil and sugar, etc.) included. As the sole-leaseholder, I'm sort of like the "house mom" - I just manage everything to make things easier (no arguing over who buys the next roll of paper towels). I'm looking for someone long term ideally.
