Looking for a new roommate (or possibly two) to join a 3-bedroom top-floor apartment in Crown Heights for August 1st move-in. In-unit washer-dryer, tall ceilings, huge kitchen with two sinks and dishwasher, lots of storage in closets, room for bike parking inside the apartment. Accessible building with ramps. Great large windows, view of the Manhattan skyline from north-facing bedrooms, lots of natural light, hardwood floors. Living room would remain lightly furnished and the kitchen will have some of the basics, but plenty of room for more to be added.

Rooms available are a large Master bedroom with its own full bathroom and a smaller bedroom/possible shared studio/office (13’ x 8’). Bedrooms are unfurnished.
Option 1: $1900/month for master bedroom and shared office arrangement + ~$100/month per person in utilities
Option 2: $1300 and $1100 each if both available bedrooms are occupied by tenants.

Super clean, elevator building, with a very responsive super for repairs. The building is surrounded by lights and security cameras and on a pretty quiet block. We are two blocks from the 3 and 3 blocks from the 4 trains. B43, B45, B46 bus lines are super close.

ABOUT THIS LISTER
You would be joining me, a late 30s male and university professor, as a roommate. I prefer easy-going, direct communicators, and likes to keep the apartment quiet and clean. I am a laid back roommate who focuses on career, writes music, bakes as a hobby, and likes to stay active and explore the city or nearby trails as well as travel abroad when work allows. I enjoy a good chat but also remain respectful of others' down-time after long days at work. Looking for roommates very cognizant of using the common areas and who clean up after themselves without being asked. LGBTQ+ friendly and vaccinated. Preferably no smoking, no pets, and no couples in the apartment.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Need to be approved by the landlord and sign on for a 1-year lease by June 1. In addition to the monthly rent, each roommate is responsible for their share of the utilities (gas, electricity, and internet) and household supplies (toilet paper, dish soap, cleaning products), which are typically around $100 per month for two people. Security deposit is an additional one month's rent and should be paid upon signing. You must have proof of income with a good credit score to pass the landlord's credit check and application process. Usually a work contract and/or pay stubs suffices.
