Roommate wanted! Room avail in Crown Heights 2BR

Hello! Seeking a roommate to join me in eastern Crown Heights.

Signing a new lease for June 2024 - May 2025. Move in is June 1 and cost would be first month's rent plus $1100 security deposit. Monthly costs would be your $1100 share of the rent plus utilities (heat, hot water, electricity, wifi), which average $125-200 per person per month and renters insurance which is around $15 per month. Landlord is looking for standard credit/income qualifications.

The available room is an east-facing bedroom with a large window and a massive closet. Central thermostat-controlled radiator heating, and there is a bracket on the window where you can add your A/C unit if you'd like. The room is about 7.5 x 11 feet, not including the closet. It could fit a queen bed, but a full or twin would work better if you want to have a desk and dresser.

The apartment is very clean and a happy place to be. I'm fairly settled here, but I'll enjoy making space for you to also call it home! Large living room opens to a large kitchen - there's a big, comfy couch, a dining table, and some bookshelves that you can make use of. Bathroom is small but well-appointed.

Safe and neighborhood-y block. Always people around and a little traffic noise at rush hours, but it's a relatively quiet place to live. Friendly bodega next door, grocery stores close by, two laundromats within a block. The 3/4 trains are less than a five minute walk, and the A/C are about 15 minutes away. Great bus links at Eastern Parkway. I don't have a car...parking is not bad for Brooklyn if you've got one.

I have been in this apartment for about three years and have a strong relationship with the landlord. They live locally and are very responsive to any issues.
