Description

I’m looking for a responsible, mature and considerate roommate who will love this Fort Greene apartment as much as I do!

I have a 2-BR apartment that is incredibly spacious and comfortable - located on a vibrant street, just two blocks from Fort Greene Park, with close proximity to a dozen MTA lines that make it a breeze to get ANYWHERE :)

About the bedroom & apartment:
- King-size, sunny bedroom with double closet
- Spacious common area (living room + kitchen) with two shared closets
- Coin-op laundry in the building!!
- Top floor apt with only 3 other units in the building, so never a wait for laundry and almost no noise from other tenants
- Over the course of the year, utilities average out to about max $100-150/month/person (electric, gas, wifi) in addition to rent

About the location:
- 5-8 min. walk from multiple train lines (NQR, B, 2/3, 4/5, G, F, ACE) + bus lines - can't overstate how convenient this is!
- A few blocks from Barclays, 25 min walk to Prospect Park
- About 15 minutes on the train to Union Square or Washington Square Park
- Within easy walking distance to big box stores like Target, Whole Foods 365 & Trader Joe’s, as well local groceries and bodegas

I’ve lived here for four years and value having a home that feels like a haven. My ideal roommate has the following qualities:

* A great communicator who is warm and friendly
* Prioritizes keeping the apartment neat, organized and well maintained and can be depended on to split up basic weekly chores and cost of economical cleaning service. E. g. taking out garbage, washing dish towels/bath mat, removing shower hair trap, refilling shared items, etc
* Vegetarian-friendly and eco-conscious (minimizing waste/recycling)
* Cares about Covid-safety - vaxxed, boosted, masks when needed without complaint. I’m recovering from post-viral fatigue from covid and need to mitigate the risk of reinfection.
* It would also be great if we have some shared interests and can hang out every once in a while, while still valuing each others’ privacy and quiet time :)

About me:
I'm a writer and filmmaker in my 40s who loves to dance and travel. I’ve been a vegetarian for 20+ years. I love exploring cultural events in the city and cheering on the Mets at Citifield. I spend most of my work time working from home on marketing consulting gigs or my own creative projects.

Rental reqs:
+ No smoking, partying, heavy drug or alcohol use, or surprise guests
+ To be added to the lease credit check is required, along with security deposit + one month's rent
+ Cats are allowed. I have just started fostering one cat a time for about 4-6 weeks each.

Interested? Please contact me with a brief intro so I can get to know you better!
