This room comfortably fits a full sized bed, a dresser, a desk and a chair, plus it has a closet. A window gets direct sunlight and has a view of rooftops in the neighborhood. We have two cats, one of whom can be a little wiley but they are both generally chill and friendly. The bedroom for rent is on the complete other side of the apartment from our bedroom so it's very private. No amenities in the building (it's an old prewar) but there is a good laundromat less than two blocks from the apartment.

The Q train is two short blocks from the building, and the B is either 1 stop on the Q away, or a pleasant 10 min walk. Brooklyn college is also a 10 min walk away. There are several convenient bus lines near by as well. Grocery stores, bars, restaurants, delis are all near by, but it's definitely a quieter part of Brooklyn. Don't expect the bustle of Williamsburg.

My BF and I take pride in our apartment. It's fully furnished, has a separate dining room from the living room, lots of sun light, we take care of it. We expect the person who is interested in this room to be fully aware and comfortable with basic rules of cohabiting. Politeness, communication, willingness to share responsibility for taking care of the apartment. We are two professional busy native NYers. Out and about more often than not. We enjoy having people over but not all the time. We like to cook but we don't take over the kitchen every day. Mostly we just like relaxing in front of the TV, sometimes we play music together. He is in school as well as works so he'll often be quietly studying. We would consider ourselves reasonable, generous and laid back people, but we care about having a put together place that feels cozy and clean and comfortable. We're not accepting roommates with a disrespectful attitude towards participating in helping out in all the normal ways roommates should. The rent price includes utilities, as you would be subleasing from us. After an in person meeting and conversation we would agree to rent the room to you with no application fee needed. Just 3 pay stubs, security and first month.
