Description

Hello New York,

About the Room:
The room that is available faces East, overlooks a small park in the front of the building, and gets a good amount of sunlight throughout the day. It has a closet and wooden floors. The room is the largest one in the apartment and has two exposed brick walls and a large window for natural lighting. It is separated from the other bedrooms and provides privacy. There is ample lighting in the room that you can control with separate switches to modify the brightness of your room at night. It?s an excellent space that currently fits a queen size bed, L-shape desk, large dresser/armoire, small file cabinet, bookshelf, and still have space to walk through the room. It?s possible to set up an office/study space in the room, in addition to your typical bedroom furniture.

We can discuss furnishing the bedroom if you need furniture or are looking for a furnished room.

Shared Amenities:
-1 bathroom (shower/tub combination)
-open kitchen, dining, and living room area
-fully furnished apartment (kitchen appliances, large sofa, coffee table, dining room set, storage shelves, TV w/streaming capabilities, video game systems)
-Verizon FiOS
-dish washer in the kitchen
-washer/dryer in the basement (pay with quarters)
-open storage in the basement (we keep our bikes down there)
-access to the rooftop

Public Transportation & Accessibility:
We are two women in our late twenties/early thirties working in the social sector looking for a third roommate. We live in prospect heights at the intersection of Atlantic Ave and Washington. Less than 2 blocks from Clinton/Washington C and a short walk to Clinton/Washington G. About a 15 minute walk to Atlantic Barclays where there is access to the 4/5/2/3/N/Q/R a Target and Whole Foods 365. The F train is easily accessible by transferring from the C train at the Jay Street - Metro Tech stop.

About the Apartment:
The apartment is a 3-bedroom 1-bathroom located in a walk-up building. The apartment is on the third floor and requires walking up two flights of stairs. The living room and kitchen are a large space that we have furnished with a large L couch with an exposed brick wall (WOA). We also have a hallway closet for extra storage, and a shelf space in the living room. There is AC in the living room and a thermostat to control the heat in the winter.?That?s right, you will NOT have to open your windows during snow storms because you can actually control the heater.

This apartment has been lived in for two years and is fully furnished. We have all sorts of kitchen appliances and a working dish washer. As well as, plenty of room for you to bring over and store your kitchen items. Let us know if you will bring large furniture with you so we can plan to make room for your belongings. There is a washer and dryer in the basement, many laundromats nearby, and a pick-up/drop-off service that we can recommend.?There is also access to the rooftop of the building where we regularly host BBQs and get-togethers.

We are looking for someone who fairly clean. We generally keep a clean space, but sometimes we get busy (as a PhD candidate and a teacher...). We welcome communication to ensure everyone is comfortable in our shared home. We like to have people over, but we also enjoy quiet nights in when we have had longs days. This includes sometimes hosting family or friends from out of town to spend a few nights in the shared space (only after getting the ?OK? from each roommate).

We do not have any pets. Please let us know if you have pet(s) and what type(s) prior to meeting in person.
?Please contact us to arrange a time to see the apartment and see if we are a good fit. Management will require the typical NYC rental related information (income, housing application, personal identification, etc.) as a part of the application process. The landlord will accept guarantors to supplement your income for the application.

The pictures show shared spaces in the apartment, including the rooftop. The room pictured faces the tiny park area in front of our apartment and is the room for rent.

Best,
Ladies of Prospect Heights
