Room available July 1st in Prospect Heights

Hey everyone!

My name is Tom, and my roommate Nina and I are looking for a new roommate to join us starting July 1st in this spacious apartment just 5 minutes away from gorgeous Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and a long list of amazing restaurants, bars, and bakeries. We are also a 5 minute walk to the 2, 3, 4, 5, B/D/Q/R trains. This neighborhood really is fantastic.

We're ideally looking for someone that is open to committing to a one year lease when the new lease starts in March 2024.

No pets allowed unfortunately. No couples.

The apartment - The apartment itself is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with high ceilings and a large living room to spread out. Nina and I like to keep things clean and we ask the next roommate to be clean as well and wash your dishes in a timely manner. Our apartment is welcoming, cozy, and peaceful. We are also firm believers in communication. We hope the next roommate respects these values as well.

The rent is $988 per month excluding utilities. Utilities are usually between $50-$100 per month.

The room available - The room is 11 x 10 with 2 large windows that let in a good amount of natural light. The room can fit a queen sized bed, a desk, and more. There is a built-in closet as well. The room will be unfurnished before the move-in date.

Myself - I'm 32 years old and originally from Philadelphia. I work in the museum education field and I'm at the office 4 to 5 days a week. When I'm not working, I'm usually out with friends or just in my room listening to a good podcast or catching up on some movies and TV.

Nina - Hey all! I’m 26, originally from Vermont, and have been living in New York for about 7 years. I work in student affairs at Columbia, specifically with the performing arts, and am in the office at least 3 days a week. I love reading, baking, plants, and spending time in the park. I’m always looking for book, movie, and TV recommendations and am always happy to share my baked goods!

All interested candidates must have proof of ID, 3 current paystubs/proof of income for application to building management. 2 to 3 references from previous roommates would be preferred as well.
