Room available in 2BR Apt in Williamsburg

Available NOW. NO COUPLES. Renting out my furnished bedroom in our cool full 2BR flat in South Williamsburg and looking to find someone to rent on a month to month basis--or longer. Rent is $1,500/mo and must be paid in cash or certified bank check--no PayPal, Venmo, Money Orders, etc. Rental minimum is 30 days and maximum rental would be 5 months as our lease is up at the end of November. If the person is cool and vibes well with my current roommate, we'd be willing to rent out room for full five months--but we would require a one month security deposit of $1,500.

My roommate and I are best mates and we work in the Visual Effects Industry. It's important to us that we find someone respectful and responsible to take the room. This means paying rent on time, respecting the shared space, cleaning up after oneself and not making a ridiculous amount of noise. Basically everything a functioning adult should be capable of.

The apartment is Located in South Williamsburg just a few blocks from the ferry, and a five minute walk from the Marcy Avenue JMZ station. The B62 bus is just a single block away from the front door, which can take you north to the Bedford Ave L stop. Of course you can always walk there in around 15 minutes if the bus doesn't take your fancy.

The building used to be home to one of the first publishing houses in NYC. It's since been renovated and but still has an industrial feel to it. The apartment itself is located on the sixth floor facing North. The room has a large window with a view of the Williamsburg Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. We also have access to a large rooftop, with spectacular views on both the North and South sides. There is parking available on street level outside the building if you're a driver. The occupants of the building are a mix of young families, professionals and artists--all pretty unique.

The apartment has high ceilings and modern fixtures and utilities. There's a living room, equipped with a large black leather corner sofa which is perfect for relaxing or binge watching House of Cards on the big ol' TV that we have in there. There is recessed lighting hidden behind a bunch of the furniture in the space which looks awesome at night.

The kitchen is tricked out with a fridge, freezer, oven, stove, sink etc. along with kitchenware, cookware, toaster, kettle. Fake plants. The usual.

Bathroom wise, we have a tiled floor with bath/shower, sink, toilet and huge mirror!

Apt has AC/heat, electricity, gas and high speed internet.
