Description

$1400 / 278 square feet. Available Immediately.

Windsor Terrace (Near Park Slope) garden-facing, 2-BR apartment on the entire third floor of a 3-story walk up. Prime location that is literally 30 steps from the Fort Hamilton Pkwy F/G Subway Stop and a mere 2 blocks from Prospect Park. Cafes, restaurants, bodegas, a bar, and the world?s best deli are located on our block, while Windsor Farms Market (a large grocery store) and a laundromat are a 5-minute walk away. Miraculously, there is plenty of street parking if you drive.

Apartment consists of two extremely large separate living areas. Only the kitchen and the bathroom are shared. Feels like having your own studio apartment as your room contains plenty of space for both bedroom and living room areas. Your room is enormous (10 ? ft by 26 1/2 ft, or 278 Sq feet), unfurnished, and has two large east-facing windows (tons of morning light) and a ceiling fan. You will also have two large hallway closets all to yourself.

We share the only apartment on the 3rd floor, which is the top floor of the apartment building. Our floor is so thick that you never hear the neighbors who live directly beneath us. The landlords live in the 1st-floor apartment and they are extremely friendly and responsive.

Your name would go on the lease. Your rent will be $1,400/month, but this includes all utilities (i. e., electric, gas, heat, hot water) and Internet. If you want cable television, you will be responsible for the cost. The landlords ask that you provide proof of employment/income and references. To move in, you will need to pay first and last month?s rent (i. e., $2,800 total) in advance. If you move into the apartment in November (it is available now, after all), your rent for the month of November will be pro-rated accordingly.

Who I'm looking for: Someone who is clean and courteous with the shared spaces; responsible (e. g., pays rent on time); honest; communicative; and friendly. You know, a non-personality-disordered adult. I know one when I see one. :) If you like to go out to party, that's perfectly fine, of course, but you don't bring the party home.

Who I am: Friendly, laid-back, relaxed, and single 46-year-old male who works full time, Monday-Friday, as a counselor and teacher of college students. I typically leave the apartment between 9:00 am - 10:00 am and return home between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm to eat dinner, read, and watch t. v. on my end of the apartment. While I love my job, it is extremely social and interactive, so when I return home from work I like to relax and veg. I see our home as a sanctuary, a place of peace, and hope that you would too.

*** Please no drug users, couples, live-in partners, or pets. Unfortunately, the landlords do not allow pets.

Please reply with your name, contact information, a bit about yourself, any questions you may have, and the days/times that you are available to come view the place and meet me. I am available to show the apartment most weekdays after 6:00 pm and on some weekends.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you, and I wish all of you the best in your search.
