Studio-sized room in chill West Oakland

Large room in back of a fully renovated victorian style duplex in West Oakland! The room is massive and has a pretty view of the backyard (great natural lighting). You can easily fit a king or queen sized bed, large desk, couch, coffee table, vanity all in this great space. The closet is also massive (I have a way too many clothes and everything fits with extra room so I added storage drawers inside the closet as well). You also have a private entrance if you want as the backdoor is right next to the room entrance in the back of the house. You would share a cute full bath with one of my housemates.

Rent is $1300 a month. $2,000 deposit required. I am open to having $1500 of the deposit down and paying the remaining $500 after the lease is up at the end of August. We are looking for someone long-term! This is a special place and is beautifully decorated by my amazing housemates who poured so much time and energy making this home cozy, clean and safe.

The physical space:
Recently renovated 4-bedroom and 2-bathroom home. Located in West Oakland near De Fremery Park. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood and walking distance to downtown. It has spacious common areas and the living room gets beautiful afternoon light. The house is a triplex. We are the bottom unit and the largest unit. We get along really well with our upstairs neighbors (although they are not included in our pod). All of us share a cute backyard that has greenery and space to spread out, so we often socialize and sometimes exchange baked goods.

House culture:
We are a quiet household throughout the week days as LE and AL work from home most of the time. JP often works early mornings and is an essential worker. When our time off aligns, we love to spend quality time cooking meals, trying new recipes, and watching movies together. This includes the occasional reality tv guilty pleasure.
We also each treasure our alone time and have found the weight of the pandemic means individual self-care is a top priority. We try to be mindful and considerate in sharing common space. We are a very balanced, calm, and nurturing household. Culturally, we are looking for a roommate that matches that vibe. More specifically, we would consider a good fit being someone that is very clean, and respects the common spaces in the house. (See below). friendly. DOGGY FRIENDLY.

Strong auntie vibes. I love to cook for my housemates and go on scenic drives to get out of the house. Partnered with JP.

JP, 27 (she/her): white gal from So Cal, works at a grocery store. I spend my free time watching TV & movies, reading the news, and learning how to play the guitar. Love to overanalyze celebrity gossip. Thoughtful goofball. Double Taurus. Queer as in FTP. Partnered with LE.
