About the room

Large apartment perched atop Reservoir hill with huge balcony. Incredible vista of the L. A. Basin, from DTLA to Santa Monica. The room is fully furnished. The apartment is approximately 1400sq. ft. with three large bedrooms and 2 full baths. Decor is eclectic with a sprinkling of tastefully crass. It's an easy walk to practically everything, including grocers, post office, and all of Echo Park's many eateries and saloons. In the Washington Heights parcel, the apartment is in Echo Park just East of the Silver Lake border. Street parking. Scheduled free laundry on-site. Fun Fact: Built by one of the founders of L. A.'s Socialist Party (the phabulous Maggie Phair), this apartment has played a prominent role in the origins of the party, and Bernie Sanders was a frequent guest here.

About the Roomies

Long-time resident of the area. I'm a gay man in my late 30's who works in television (occasionally from home). Interests include music, progressivism, politics, drinking, and cooking (I'm also a trained chef), among other things. I come equipped with a twisted sense of humor. The other roommates include a quiet and respectful young man in his early 30's, a youthful and boisterous black Pug named Forrest (an allusion to his front legs, which needed to be corrected via braces for his first year of life, leaving him with front legs slightly shorter than the rear and an hilariously cute posture), and an overly talkative American Shorthair who goes by the name Kitty.
