The Mt. Washington Yurt

The Mt. Washington yurt is an island of rural life in the middle of the big city. Nestled among 30 fruit trees on a half-acre lot, it's classic bohemian California, just a few miles from Downtown L. A.. If you haven't stayed in a yurt before, it's a special experience. A yurt is the Mongolian version of a tee-pee, but this one comes with all the modern amenities--wifi, heat, running water, a kitchenette. It's a circular room, 16 feet in diameter, with vaulted 12 ft-high ceilings and a skylight at the top. There's a separate bathroom just a few steps away, complete with a spa-style outdoor shower. Also on the property are the Mini-Barn (another short-term rental), and the 1922 farmhouse where I live with my fiance and our friendly Border Collie puppy, Delta. We're a director/producer duo and together we run a production company that makes music videos and movies. We'd love to find a like-minded person who will appreciate the indoor/outdoor lifestyle that's unique to Los Angeles.
