~The house is a beautiful home built-in 1889. The outside of the house is on the historical register as this is one of the oldest neighborhoods (and houses) in Los Angeles. Don't worry, the inside has been thoroughly modernized for 21st Century life! In 3 years of living here, we haven't had any plumbing or electrical problems.

~The common areas have beautiful arched ceilings and the landlord has finished off the inside with beautiful flooring and light fixtures.

~Most of the walls are the old-style lathe and plaster construction, which means the house is insulated well from the heat of the summer and stays nice and cool.

About me:
I have the master bedroom. I'm a writer/producer in film and television as well as a music teacher. My best friend and her two teenage sons live down the street and they come over frequently. I am single, in my 30s, and pretty introverted, but have a high value for community and using my home to create community. Pre-Covid, we often hosted writer's groups, table reads, life groups, and other events and meetings at the house, and I look forward to being able to do so again at some point.

I love woodworking and gardening and generally fixing things around the house. Our home is usually pretty clean and tidy, but I always have some sort of project in the works inside or outside.

I have two cats who love being with people, so hopefully you like cats.

I'm looking for housemates who are stable, responsible, and respectful. My current two housemates have lived with me for 9 years and 4 years respectively, so hopefully you're looking for a place to land long-term.
