Description
Looking for a quiet, clean, respectful, honest, communicative female roommate to fill an unfurnished 1 bedroom with your own private bathroom suite in 2 bedroom duplex in Los Feliz.
You:
Are steadily employed, good credit, good references. (The landlord will check). Ideally you plan most of your socializing at places other than the house, as sound travels a lot here. You’re responsible, financially stable and tidy. Must have proof of income and at least two references: personal and rental.
Me: female, 40. I work in hospitality during the day, and am into reading, painting, community gardening, and self betterment. I am respectful and communicative, and only have friends over about once a month, if that.
This is not a party house, think of it more as a restful retreat to come home to come to at the end of the day. Sound really travels in this apartment, (older building, poor sound proofing), so it works best to keep TV-watching to our own rooms, especially after 10pm, and communicate about schedules, keep noisier activities limited, and use headphones often. If you’re a musician or have louder habits, like having friends over a lot, or having loud conversations late at night on a regular basis, this simply might not be the best fit.
The common areas are furnished, but open to addition of new pieces if you want to bring them.
Year Lease, then month-to-month
$40 Credit Check and references required
($1500 Security deposit + first month’s rent to move in)
Utilities are usually around $80/ $100/month, (I don't have cable)
Washer/ Dryer in unit, Dishwasher
Small Back patio
Street Parking (non-permit, usually easy to find a spot)
No Smoking, No Pets, No drugs
Within Walking distance to all the shops and cafes on Vermont and Hillhurst, Griffith Park, Los Feliz Library, Yoga studios, and the Los Feliz 3 Theater. 17 min walk to the Vermont/ Sunset Red line station. With a 93 Walk score, this is an awesome home base to explore the city from.
If interested, tell why you think you’d be a good fit, and send your answers to these questions:
1. Tell a bit about yourself
2. Describe your work schedule
3. Have you ever had a conflict with a housemate, and how did you go about handling it?
Please share a social media handle(s), if comfortable
Thank you for reading, looking forward to meeting you!
