Private Bedroom/Shared Bathroom Available June 1st

Hello there! My current roommate and his girlfriend are moving out at the end of the month, so I’ll have a spare private bedroom for rent. I live in a small but cozy 1 bedroom/1 bathroom situation with one cat, with my boyfriend around most nights with me, though he doesn’t live here. He has his own apartment, and is mostly here during evenings/weekends. The room available would be your private room, but there’s a catch. My bedroom would be in the family room, connected to the kitchen. My current/past roommates never had complaints with the setup, I’m pretty chill with people moving around and doing things in the kitchen when I’m sleeping or relaxing, and I’ve been doing this arrangement for roughly 7 years now here.

The room is small, but comes with a queen size bed frame if you’d like, as well as a clothes rack since there’s no closet in the room. The rent is 850, with utilities paid every two months. Internet is an additional 45/month. Rent would be month to month at the beginning of each month. A small security deposit that includes first month and roughly half’s rent is required to secure the room, so 1275. If you can’t afford that all up front, proof of income can be used to negotiate. If you have a car, we can work out a schedule to share the gated parking space. Washer and dryer are on site, quarter operated only.

About living with me! I’m a 30 year old stoner queer male, and I own a very friendly cat. At most only one other small animal would be fine with me, would prefer another cat but a small dog is fine as long as it’s human/cat friendly, and quiet. no cigarettes or tobacco on the premises.

My boyfriend and I cook every now and then, but we mostly order take out, smoke weed, and watch TV/play video games til midnight-ish. Super ideal roommates would be CSUN students, or other vibe-y people.

It’s not the biggest apartment, but it has a lot of charm, and not many other tenants in the building, only 16 apartments total. Ideally this situation is for someone looking for their own private room, as a way to save some money in this city. Especially if you’re a student at CSUN, I’m close enough to campus to drive but also right next to the 405 to have a social life outside of school.
