FOR RENT: Private bedroom, private bathroom, and private parking spot in Lemon Grove for $1,050 per month + utilities (estimated average $75 per month).

ABOUT THE ROOM: A comfortable 11’ x 11’ with a large north-facing window and a small step-in closet. Plenty of space for a queen-size bed, dresser, desk, and chair. Your private bathroom is accessible from the hallway outside your bedroom door.

ABOUT THE APARTMENT: It’s a modern and spacious 2-bed, 2-bath apartment with central A/C and heat in a quiet garden-style complex with a pool and hot tub. We have a private patio with a variety of plants. Pet-friendly and pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The living room and dining room are already fully furnished. This is an LGBT-friendly household.

LOCATION: Great location just off the 94 freeway at Lemon Grove Avenue. 12-minute drive to Downtown, 13-minute drive to 32nd Street Naval Station, 14-minute drive to SDSU. You can also walk to the Orange Line trolley station in about 6 minutes. Bus/trolley to SDSU in about 35 minutes, or downtown in 40 minutes. Walk to a dozen restaurants and Sprouts grocery in less than 10 minutes. Bike to all the cool bars and restaurants in La Mesa Village in 15 minutes.

ABOUT ME: I work full time at a consulting firm downtown — work from home two or three days a week. I’m usually home and awake between 7 – 9 a. m. and between 6 – 10 p. m. on weeknights; weekends are always different.

I have German Shepard mix who is very calm and sweet. She is six years old. She does not bark and she sleeps most of the day. She gets along well with other dogs and has previously shared the space here with another dog.

I have a guest over every other week on average, usually on the weekend. My boyfriend lives in LA so I’m usually out of town every other weekend.

I’ve lived with dozens of different people over the years and have gotten along easily with all of them. I’m not super social at home but I won’t ignore you either. I spend most of my time in my room unless I’m cooking or cleaning.

I like to keep things tidy but I’m not a clean freak. Do the dishes once a day, wipe down the kitchen counters a couple times a week, sweep/mop/vacuum once a week, and put things in their place. If you can keep up with that, I think we’ll do great.

COST AND TERMS: Security deposit of $750 due upon move-in. Total move-in cost of $1,800 ($1,050 first month’s rent + $750 security deposit). Rental agreement will be month-to-month. Short-term tenants (1 - 6 months) are welcome, as are long-term tenants.
