Gorgeous shared apartment in Glen Park

Hi! My name is Sara (she/her). I am looking for a housemate to join me and my two cats in our lovely two-bedroom apartment in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco. We have lived here for 2 1/2 years and our current housemate is moving out next month.

The apartment 🏠:
2-bed, 1-bath on the first floor of a 4-unit building. There are about 5 stairs to get up to the front door.
The bedroom has good light, a ceiling fan, a window with a beautiful view, and a nice cedar closet
The bathroom has a spacious shower with multiple showerhead options, one of which is a waterfall (no bathtub)
In-unit washer & dryer
Currently, we have a bar with three chairs and no dining table but open to getting one
Additional storage space in the basement.

Hardwood floors, French doors w/ crystal doorknobs, nice cabinets, 2 stained glass windows, nice overhead lighting with dimmers (no fluorescents!)

Vibe ✨: Cozy, clean, and serene. Having a clean living space is really important to me and I am looking for a housemate who feels and acts the same. Alcohol and 420-friendly (we have a balcony with chairs and an ashtray for smoking but I personally don’t partake). I’m pretty social and like having friends & sometimes dates over for small gatherings but am considerate of your needs, of course. Would love someone who is down to be friends and hang out together from time to time. Bonus points if you are vegan or vegetarian and down to cat sit when I go out of town!

Cost 💰: Rent is $1400 per month, utilities are included. A security deposit of $1750 and the first month’s rent are required before move-in.

Utilities 🔌: Included in the price of rent. Internet is through Sonic and is currently $26 per person monthly, but may increase to ~$40 per person monthly.

Neighborhood 🏘️:
8-minute walk from Glen Park BART station (will take you anywhere in the Bay) and the J Muni line (Dolores Park + Castro)
7-minute walk to the “village” of Glen Park which has a bar, cafes, restaurants, salons, gyms, Canyon Market, and more
2 blocks away from Glen Canyon Park which has hiking trails, a community center, athletic fields, and tennis courts
3-minute drive to the 280 freeway
Near bus lines 44, 52, 35, 36.

Parking 🚗: Street parking is always available within a block of the apartment. You can get a residential parking permit for $170 per year. Charging an electric car might be a little challenging but we can try and get creative.

About me 💁: I am 32 years old and graduating with a Masters in Social Welfare (MSW) from Cal this May. I currently intern and will be working for Child Protective Services. I am white, queer, femme, have been vegan for 20 years, and try to be anti-racist and generally social-justice-minded. Likes: love/dating-based reality TV, true crime, reading, early 2000’s pop & hip-hop, hiking, hanging out with friends. Capricorn, ENFP.

About the cats 🐱: Rio (age 7, male) enjoys sleeping in the sunshine, eating, and the occasional zoomies. Eva (age 1.5, female) is “100% cat.” She enjoys knocking small items off tables, playing with toys, and running around. Both enjoy grooming and play fighting with each other.

How to apply 📋: Please email me a paragraph with information about yourself and what you’re looking for in a living situation. I’ll reach out and set up a Facetime or in-person visit. The landlord requires a simple/standard rental application. I prefer someone who can commit to staying at least 6 months, however, we are on a month-to-month lease.
