Description

Available on 8/1 or possibly 7/15-- a cozy, quiet, furnished or unfurnished room in a 2BR/1BA flat in a great location in San Francisco’s Noe Valley / Mission neighborhood. Share a cute Edwardian apartment/flat with just me, a female professional in my late 40’s, and one adorable cat who loves company. A tranquil space to decompress— this room is perfect for a grad student, travel nurse, flight attendant, or other professional with minimal stuff.

The flat is in a charming 1906 Edwardian building, with hardwood floors and some nice period details. I've decorated it with fun vintage finds and furnishings from my years as a vintage store owner. Good-sized kitchen and cozy living room. Plenty of closet space in the bedroom, and some minimal storage is available in garage for a few boxes, plus room for a bicycle. There's a washer/dryer off the kitchen. Located in a safe, beautiful leafy neighborhood not far from Dolores Park, with a sunny back garden and easy street parking. Walkable to shops & restaurants, rental e-bikes, MUNI, and a short walk to BART. Great neighborhood walks and urban hikes are close by.

Room is for just *one* person, sorry no couples, frequent visitors or overnight guests, or any more pets. Looking for someone who is reasonably quiet, responsible, friendly, and mature, who cleans up after themselves in the kitchen, bathroom and common areas and knows how to communicate well. Someone with a full-time job who enjoys activities outside outside the home would be a good fit. Would consider hybrid worker if our schedules align. Must be financially stable and able to pay bills on time. There is no smoking/vaping in the building, no drugs or bringing the party home. You'll need to put in an application with landlord and pass a credit check. $1100/mo + one month deposit, shared utilities, around $60-$80/mo.

I enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and prefer housemates with healthy social skills who are comfortable sharing an actual home— this isn’t a dorm-style environment where you need to hole up in your room! It feels like a home and I’d love a housemate that contributes to that .atmosphere.

My habits at home usually include some computer work in the morning, then out for a long day at my office/workshop. I typically make a quick dinner after work, and relax on the sofa with my cuddle-bug cat and a book or some Netflix. On weekends I love to take a drive down the coast or catch a movie with my boyfriend, explore new hiking trails, or visit with friends. If you think we'd be a good fit as housemates, then please reply with some info about yourself, such as hobbies/interests, your schedule, and what you’re looking for in a co-living situation, and if you’re comfortable (or enjoy!) living with cats. And if you're comfortable sharing a professional link or LinkedIn, this really helps to weed out the scam responses everyone has to deal with on these sites these days. More details below, thanks for reading and good luck in your search!
