Large furnished room near historic Marietta Square

I retired to Marietta almost 6 years ago from Nashville, TN. In my past lives I have been an high school English teacher, owner of an interior decorating franchise, a corporate trainer in the home care and staffing industries, and the Director of Resident Services at an independent living facility. Retirement is wonderful! My daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren live less than half an hour away and I see them often.

My time is spent most reading, writing, watching TV, and studying eschatology. I still enjoy redecorating my home seasonally., for spring (just finished), fall, Christmas, and winter. I don't enjoy the process as much as I used to, but I still love the result. My roommate has access to the entire condo as needed. One roommate enjoyed cooking so she used the kitchen more than I did. The washer and dryer are in the garage.

My spare room is very spacious (14 x 18). It has a queen bed with a very comfortable mattress, a chest of drawers, double closet, private bathroom vanity and toilet area, and a shared shower. The large windows are covered with room-darkening draperies because my first roommate worked nights and slept days. Subsequent roommates have requested that they remain. A TV sits on top of the chest.

I have had four roommates so far and they've all been delightful. The first one stayed throughout her 13-week assignment, the second one committed to 3 months and stayed a year, the third stayed through her 6-week assignment, and the last one stayed a year and a half.

My condo community is quiet and safe. It was built in 1977 and is known for being a desirable property, close to numerous medical communities, the Marietta Square, great tennis courts, and the Kennesaw National Park and hiking trails. For those who prefer expensive restaurants and lots of traffic, you're only 20 minutes from Atlanta.

My motto is a landlord is to respect my tenant's privacy and, in return, I expect them to respect my privacy and my property. They use the front door and I use the back door and garage. I am easy to get along with and enjoy sharing my home.
