Description
With prices skyrocketing and inventory becoming near nil, this rare opportunity truly is a rare find and like most rare finds, it comes with some caveats.
1) I have an elementary aged child and therefore I cannot accept anyone with any felony arrests. (Ex)Wife is an officer and I cannot have anyone on probation or have been on probation for a felony). I require a background check.
2) No drinking or elicit drugs
3) You are renting a room and bathroom. No commissary areas.
4) I have one small dog. Hypo-allergenic. I have severe allergies and she does not bother me so if you have allergies, you should be fine.
5) I only require a $750 deposit up front; the other $750 can be spread over the next months if necessary. I know how difficult it can be coming up with that much money up front.
6) The $1500 is all inclusive with a discussion for potential modification depending on how cold or hot you like to keep your room. This is a big house. IDC how hot or cold it gets, just as long as you know you will have to pay the additional amount. I will say this house 'keeps' very well in the summer and stays naturally cool. The main house is well insulated for summer and winter.
7) I live a mile from town-square. One street over from the hospital (if you are moving here to work there.) If you have an overnight job, that is fine, just as long as you understand that during the day there will be activity throughout the house, as little as it will be. I have the back room and have my own bathroom, etc. I don't come out too often. My office is in here as well. I have my child half the time so many days you will probably feel like you have the house to yourself.
8) I want to be upfront. I am not looking for a new pal. I prefer to keep to myself for the most part at home as I work alot or sleep due to my disability.
I am a very nice, loyal, and helpful person. I will take care of EVERYTHING in and out of the house. You are paying for a room and bathroom and only expected to clean up after yourself, and keep your living areas clean (enough). No smells. No defacing the walls, etc.
9) $1500 pays for it all
rent - room and bathroom use
geography - just a mile from town
fiber internet
room can be furnished with a bed if need be
water
electric
lawn service
ETC ETC
--it costs me over $4K to keep everything going. This is not a cheap place. House from the 70s with excellent bones. I have lived here about 6 years and love it. Going through a divorce and now have a huge house to myself.
10) I am a male but don't care if a male or female moves in. I have a large family and have had female roomies in the past and get along with both genders.
11) We can discuss the remaining things like SO, friends coming over, etc. Please keep in mind I will be newly divorced with a child and must keep to the strictest guidelines for my child's well-being, so my ex doesn't have any reason to think my child is in danger, but also, this house shall be our one place of refuge in a crazy world and I am looking for someone (s) to help me create this atmosphere. That means no craziness, flexibility, no loud music or TV (listen to it through your headphones - I do), etc.
12) If you read this post and thought, wow, he seems like a stiff-shirt, then this is probably not the place for you. If you read this and thought, hellzzz ya, a person who knows the importance of the home being a sanctuary for one to rest, relax, and be safe - while still having fun and maintaining a healthy zest for life, then this is probably the ad for you. I am not a nosey person and expect the same sort of decorum and discretion as well.
