This beautiful Victorian was originally built in 1840 and belonged to the Barksdale family. The home was moved to its present location in 1898 after it was purchased by Mr. Montgomery for only one dollar. Mr. and Mrs. James Madison Montgomery used their new spacious dwelling not only as family home but also as a guest house. In 1900, a little over 2 years later, the Montgomery family had completely restored the house and its address was registered in the city listing.
Having been in business for 12 years, we really are as good as all the hype around us. So please come pass a good time with us and listen to the wonderful stories of LaLouise Anne. This place will have you spoiled with 5:00 community coffee, surround you with antique furniture, and dazzle you with French lace curtains. LaLouise Anne is a house filled with intoxicating laughter, music, and the best and the greatest of Creole and Cajun rich heritage and family recipes. So rest assured we'll hurt your feelings with our rich French culture and cuisine.
