Description
Available June 1 - August 30! I'm Canadian and had to return to my country for immigration paperwork - with COVID, I decided to stay for the summer to avoid exposure risks.
[The Room] The room is ~10 x 10 feet, with an exposed brick wall, in-unit AC and custom built-in shelves in the closet and a large window and glass-paned door that open on the back yard. As opposed to the street noise you'll normally hear in Manhattan, you'll wake up each morning to the sound of birds. Room fits a queen sized bed, and I was able to fit a desk and chair with ample room to move around. It will not be furnished.
[The Apartment] I have always and will always describe this apartment as my dream place in New York City; I've lived in a lot of apartments since moving here and none have checked all the boxes before this one. On top of having a gorgeous private back yard, this unit has hardwood, exposed brick, a bathtub in a white granite bathroom, a renovated kitchen a dishwasher and an in-suite washer/dryer. In the basement, there are storage units that can be rented through the property management company and the super is very responsive and helpful.
[The Roommate] My former roommate is a kind and friendly 30 yo professional man from Europe, who is easy to get along with and very respectful. When quarantine wasn't a thing, he was very social and spent a lot of his free time outside of the house, so you get a lot of down time on your own (which as an introvert, I loved).
