Description
Hey,
My current roommate is moving out in September, and I am searching for his replacement. Hopefully, you would be looking to move around 10/1, with late September and early October also being extremely workable for us.
I am a 27 year old male finance professional who has lived and worked in NYC for several years now. I would prefer someone else who's a male (but may potentially consider a female) and is also professional/stable.
Currently, I live in a well maintained, 2 REAL bedroom/2 bathroom apartment right off 9th Avenue in the 50's, so it's conveniently located to a lot of great restaurants and transportation (1, C, E, N, R). This is the most desirable Hells Kitchen neighborhood. There's also a very nice rooftop deck and an elevator in the building.
The apartment is absolutely perfect for sharing, which is why I'm looking to stay. The common areas are nicely sized and furnished. Both rooms have large closets and windows inside the actual rooms. We'd each have our OWN bathrooms, with yours being inside your bedroom suite. Your bedroom is also pretty spacious and can comfortably fit a queen bed as well as a dresser, nightstand, entertainment stand, and desk.
In order to move in, you will be responsible for covering a $3, 185 security deposit. As with previous roommates, I envision splitting rent and other expenses (Con Edison/Time Warner cable and internet) exactly down the middle. This way, we both feel equal ownership of the apartment.
Like most New Yorkers, I like our sports teams (Yankees/Giants/Knicks) and brunch! During the week, I have a relatively demanding work schedule so I look for our apartment to be on the quieter side. On the weekends, I tend to go out to seek entertainment and never bring the party home. I also like to explore new restaurants in the city and play golf and tennis.
Additionally, my girlfriend has her own studio so I spend 2 to 3 nights there a week. She likes to eat dinner on the rooftop on occassion, but will never stay with us. I also travel a fair amount, so in all likelihood, I will be around the apartment less than half the time you are.
Finally, I'm a neat individual and like to keep all common areas clean.
If you're looking to move at the end of September or beginning of October, please reach out. I will invite you over to the apartment for a meeting and tour if we seem like a good match. I am hoping to get something finalized sooner rather than later.
The final step would be my landlord approving you for our lease renewal, so that will require a small fee for a credit check.
Happy searching!
