Hello everyone. There is one room available in a four bedroom apartment located in East Harlem. We are looking for one clean, responsible and professional roommate to join us in signing a sublease agreement for 5 months with the potential to stay on past the current lease which ends before July 2021. You must be employed or have steady income and be able to cover rent and other expenses.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a four story walk up. The room available faces the back of the apartment (so it's pretty quiet), has a closet, connects to the fire escape, gets a significant amount of natural light and is large enough to fit a full or twin sized bed as well as a dresser or desk.

The number 6 line on Lexington avenue is a stone's throw away. Downtown M15 local and select bus service is directly across the street from the building. M116 crosstown service to the West Side runs pretty efficiently. There are three relatively affordable large supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment and two laundromats nearby as well as a plethora of nice restaurant/take-out options. Randall's Island and Central Park are within walking distance as well.

You would be living with two men, both of whom work in the education field and one woman who works as a high school social worker.

Rent is 700 per month. Security deposit is 700 (1400). WIFI is 20.00 per person. Utilities usually fall within the 25 to 35 dollar range per person. The room is currently furnished with a brand new full sized bed (mattress and frame) as well as a brand new work desk (which we will happily give to you or remove depending on your preference).

We are looking for friendly, considerate and communicative roommates who can commit to the next 5 months. Ideal roommates are attentive to maintaining certain areas within the apartment, picking up after themselves and open to sharing purchasing duties with common household items such as dish soap, hand soap and toilet paper. We like to keep the apartment clean and neat and have also been particularly cautious when it comes to safety and hygiene during the pandemic as we take COVID seriously and regularly sanitize surfaces around our common areas in addition to getting routinely tested.

Potential roommates must be able to provide proof of employment/income. Guarantors/co-signors are welcome. Although the management company has a no pets policy, they are open to making exceptions depending on the size and the temperament of the pet. Please message me if you have any questions.
