Warm Furnished Room in Apt. w/Mature Artists

Seeking a third mature roommate to fill our colorful and clean East Village flat and say Welcome Home.

The building faces a community garden on a quiet tree-lined street, half a block East of the beautiful Tompkins Square Park.

The furnished bedroom is bright and warm with a big private window, closet/storage, and shelving units. The room can be arranged / decorated to your taste. Existing furniture is twin mattress with box spring and frame, several shelves, table, lamp, mirror, and small bureau. See photos.

Living room and kitchen are common spaces that are shared and encourage (socially-distanced) conversations. The walls are thick so rooms are quiet and private. Hardwood floors with rugs throughout keep the place warm and quiet.

Water pressure and temperature are very good. The rooms are warmed by radiated heat, and in warmer months the place is cooled by great airflow from many windows and occasional A/C.

All utilities (electric, gas, internet) are included in the monthly rent.

Many shops and subway stops nearby. Many parks and gardens nearby too as well as libraries, post offices, laundries. We are friends with neighbors and shopkeepers.

Long term interest is preferred, and a month-to-month agreement is secured with a signed sublease; if you wish we can sign a longer term sublease.

About me: I (male) am a rock and roll photographer and teacher with a studio a quick bicycle ride away in Williamsburg. The other roommate (female) is a painter and gallery worker. I've been living with other artists in this apartment for 12 years. I believe we all live in boxes that we rent, or own, and should share them. I consider the East Village as home. I have been to all of the 50 US states but prefer to visit Scotland.

Rental requirements:
First and last months' rent are required. Proof of employment or fellowship, etc, is appreciated.
